Heidenhain AMO – Modular Incremental Linear Inductive Encoders
Scale Versions
Linear Scale Tape can be applied directly to the machine mounting surface with a dual sided adhesive tape or integrated into a stainless steel spar system where a snap cover strip locks the scale tape to the machine without any adhesives. Scale tapes are available in any given length and in different accuracy classes.
LMB-1010
The LMB-1010 scale tape is supplied with a double-sided adhesive film for direct application on the machine bed, and can be supplied with an accuracy of ± 20 µm/m, or ± 50 μm/m. Machine absolute co-ordinate position can be determined using the integrated scale Reference Index marks, which can be a Reference Index at one position or with distance coded marks.
LMB-4010
The LMB-4010 Spar Scale system is designed for extreme environmental conditions. The slim stainless steel spars are attached to the machine bed with screws, and the graduation pattern scale tape is mounted and held in position with a "snap-cover” strip.
Accuracy classes of ± 20 µm/m or ± 50 μm/m are available. Machine absolute co-ordinate position can be determined using the integrated scale Reference Index marks, which can be a Reference Index at one position or with distance coded marks.
Encoder Heads
Our encoder heads have a high degree of immunity to contamination due to their IP 67 rating.
Encoder Head output can be 1 Vss Sine Wave or TTL (RS 422) Square Wave.
Both miniature encoder heads with electronics in an external connector and encoder heads with the integrated electronics are available.
LMK – 1010 / 1005
Open, non-contact miniature encoder heads, ideal for limited space. The signal processing electronics is housed in an external housing. Outputs are available with 1 Vpp sine wave signal periods of down to 20μm, or TTL (RS 422) square wave output with resolutions down to 0,125 microns. The encoder are rated IP67 and are insensitive to contamination (oil, coolant, dust, etc.).
LMK – 2010 / 2005 / 2030
Open non-contact encoders with integrated electronics allow any connector to be added to the encoder head output cable. Outputs are available with 1 Vpp sine wave signal periods of down to 20μm, or TTL (RS 422) square wave output with resolutions down to 0,125 microns.
The encoder are rated IP67 and are insensitive to contamination (oil, coolant, dust, etc.).
